Art Glass Jewelry Workshop: A Unique Bali Memento from the
Refind Glass Studio
Join us for an inspiring hands-on workshop where creativity meets sustainability. This session uses Art Glass – vibrant coloured offcuts from the large-scale glass installations created by renowned artist B. Jane Cowie. Each fragment carries a story of colour, light and an artwork installation, saved to be reimagined by you into a unique piece of wearable glass jewellery.
You’ll learn how to cut, crush, shape and assemble these luminous glass offcuts into earrings, pendants, or charms that capture the beauty of Bali’s colour, light and spirit. Every piece you reimagine becomes a personal memento of your experience in Bali, and something to wear proudly to start a conversation about your glassmaking experience and learning about Refind’s sustainable glassmaking initiatives.
All materials are included, with no extra charge for the additional time required to finish of the pieces with silver attachments for earrings and leather/threaded cords for necklaces, provided and incorporated after the glass has been fired and fused in our kilns to a temperature of 800 Degree Celcius.
Each participant returns home with several finished unique, colourful and beautiful bursts of colour. This workshop offers more than an artmaking experience – it allows space for you to consider and connect with your Bali Experience, with creativity, sustainability, and the joy of transforming waste into wonder. Leave with your own handmade treasure, a reflection of your time in Bali and your part in giving new life to ‘what would have otherwise been wasted’ art glass.
